Robbie Roepstorff Recognized Among Florida's "50 Over 50"

Congratulations to IWF Florida Suncoast member Robbie Roepstorff, co-founder and president of Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands, on being named to the News Service of Florida's prestigious "50 Over 50" list.

The annual recognition honors 50 outstanding leaders across Florida who have made significant contributions to business, government, and their communities. Roepstorff was recognized during an April 22 reception in Tallahassee and was one of only two honorees from Fort Myers.

With more than five decades of banking experience, Roepstorff began her career as a bank teller in 1974 and became the first female bank president in Lee County in 1990. Together with her husband, she went on to found Edison National Bank in 1997 and Bank of the Islands in 1998, building institutions known for their community-focused approach to banking.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Roepstorff has dedicated countless hours to public service, serving on the boards of numerous nonprofit and civic organizations. She currently serves as the longest-tenured, four-term governor-appointed member of the Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees and has held leadership roles with the Lee County Port Authority, Lee County Industrial Development Authority, Horizon Council, and the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools.
