Please join us for a thought-provoking dinner featuring Dr. Ellen Stofan, Under Secretary for Science
and Research at the Smithsonian Institution. While the Smithsonian is known for its museums, it also
plays a global role in scientific research and education, with over 600 scientists and researchers on
staff. Dr. Stofan oversees the Smithsonian's science research centers, the National Air and Space
Museum, the National Museum of Natural History, the National Zoo and Conservation Biology
Institute, and the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives. Dr. Stofan's career in space-related
organizations spans over 30 years, including her prior role as the Chief Scientist for NASA. She
serves on the National Geographic Society Board of Trustees and the Presidential Committee on the
National Medal of Science. You won't want to miss this conversation!
