At The Patterson Foundation, we strengthen the efforts of people, organizations, and communities by focusing on shared aspirations, wide participation, and learning together.

Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass: A Walk to Respect is more than a theatrical performance. It is a living reminder that even in our most fractured eras Americans have found ways to bridge divides, listen deeply, and move forward together. Through the powerful words of Lincoln and Douglass, brought to life in a one-act play by award-winning playwright and TPF's very own Beth Duda, along with original spoken-word poetry by Cedric Hameed, this experience invites us to reflect on what it truly means to build understanding across differences. As we celebrate 250 years, this performance offers a timely and hopeful blueprint.
